FAQ

IS INSURANCE INCLUDED?

Sometimes accidents happen. Not to worry – We have insurance to cover our workers and damage to your home and goods in transit. If you would like to take out additional insurance on your gear we would recommend getting in touch with your insurance provider.

On every move you are protected by 3 types of insurance:

  1. Public liability – damage caused to your premises. Covered up to 20 million dollars.
  2. Goods in transit insurance – damage caused to your gear in an at fault vehicle accident while in transit.
  3. Workers compensation – covers injuries caused to our staff while moving your gear.

CAN YOU PACK MY GEAR FOR ME?

We get it. Life comes in all shapes and sizes and not always easy to put in a box. If you would prefer to have us pack all your things, send us a message and we will provide you a free quote as part of the move.

WHEN AND HOW DO I PAY?

Once we have sorted out what you need from us, we’ll send you a quote to agree on and you can pay the 15% deposit to secure your move date.

The full payment amount will then need to be paid at least 72 hours before we are due to arrive to pack/move your gear. You can pay with Visa and Mastercard credit cards or by electronic transfer. We also accept cash on the day.

CAN YOU DEAL WITH SPECIALITY ITEMS?

We can help move your fiddly and or specialty items such as antiques, pool tables or pianos. However depending on the size of the move we may need to make a special trip. This may incur an additional cost but we will give it our special attention and try to save you time and money.

Are you refurbishing or getting a stack of new furniture? No problem, we can move that for you too.

CAN YOU MOVE MY FOOD?

Canned and sealed food and full sealed bottles of alcohol can be boxed up and included in the move with your gear. All cold food and perishable items cannot be transported due to liability and food safe regulations.

BOXES AND THINGS

If you’re keen to save some cash and pack your things yourself, grab our cubes deals to help. Our boxes to bubble wrap, are built for purpose, they are strong and easy to stack in the trucks – saving you breakages, time and stress. Ask us about delivery, we might be able to do it for free.

DO YOU TAKE POT PLANTS & BBQ’s?

If you are packing your items yourself you will need to ensure that pot plants and your BBQ are wrapped with commercial grade shrink wrap, plants can be wrapped in a heavy duty green garbage bag. If we are providing you with our packing service we will do all this for you.

CAN YOU DISMANTLE AND REASSEMBLE MY GEAR?

Yes, we usually have the tools in the truck, although it would be good to know this during the quoting period so we can assign the time. Please note that some low quality furniture items are not designed to be dismantled and reassembled and can become structurally unsound. We do not take responsibility for any damage that may occur as part of this process.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO MOVE MY GEAR?

Moving is dependant on many factors including the time it takes to load, secure and unload your gear, what apartment level your on, whether we are using an elevator solely for us or we need to share, how far away the truck is parked, bad weather conditions,  the distance between locations and how well you have prepared for the move. The more you do beforehand, the faster it will be for you. We work as efficiently as possible and aim to have you relocated in a jiffy.

IS THERE ANY HIDDEN COSTS?

All of your moving costs will be listed in your quote, you will only be charged more if you require additional services not already listed in your quote.

WHEN SHOULD I BOOK YOU?

The earlier the better! For both you and us, knowing your move is in good hands can help remove the stress. We also need time to arrange your box delivery if you choose to pack your gear yourself. So please give us at least 2 weeks to make sure we can quote you properly and so we can accommodate the days and times that best suit you to move.

CAN I HELP YOU MOVE ME?

You may assist us while moving items from your house to the truck. However, our insurance prohibits you from entering onto our ramp or truck.

WHAT ARE YOUR RATES?

We keep your moving costs down with our set hourly rates and call-out fees.

CAN I CHANGE MY MOVING DATE?

Yes, you can change the date of your move up to 72 hours prior to when we are due to start your packing/moving day service.

IS THERE A FEE IF I CANCEL?

You can cancel your service with us, depending on how much notice you give us there may be a charge. If you cancel your service more than 72 hours before your booking you will get a full refund. Cancellations made within 72 hours of your service will receive a refund minus the deposit amount. Cancellations made on the day of the service will incur a charge of 50% of the total invoice.

CAN YOU DELIVER THE PACKING BOXES.

Absolutely, we understand that you are busy and it is easier to have them dropped off. We can deliver the boxes to you for free in the Cairns city area. Further afield will incur a delivery cost. Please let us know where you need them and we will include it in your quote.

DO YOU DO SHORT DISTANCE MOVES?

Yes we can move you down the street, the next suburb or to a different level in an apartment building. Get in touch so we can sort out a reasonable price.
